Audi Music Interface

Hopefully a simple question, the "separately available interface lead" referred to in the audi spec's - is this just a standard ipod USB lead? The reason I ask is that Audi want £25 for one! Can't for the life of me think why the lead doesn't come as standard as why would you choose the option without any means of plugging anything in? - or am I being thick??!

It's not a USB connector to AMI as yet so if you use ipod you will need the dedicated lead.
