Power cable from battery to amps

Hi, Can some kind soul advise me of the best way to get a power lead from the battery (through the engine) to the inside of the car so i can wire it up to my amps in the boot.

i have a 2002 A3 TDI and i am planning to have a bash at it tomorrow weather permitting. if nobody knows the easiest way through the engine (gromit or someother hole available) im going to attack it with a drill, cross my fingers and hope for the best!

If the A3 is set-up the same way the A4 is then the ECU plastic box is the best way and buy that I mean open it up and drill a hole in the bottom then just feed it in to the car.

i allso need to know wer abouts in the engine bay i can feed my amp power cable thru, and allso wher a good ground location would be for the negative black to the amp, thanks
