Default Symphony 2 for Audi A4

Bit confused about this .so can someone clear it up please..
I am after purchasing and fitting an Audi Symphony 2 head unit for my A4..
Seen a few in various places ..
Are thes units standard size ..ie will 1 size fit all Audi vehicles A3,A4 etc...
Thanks..

No, First we need to know what car you have to see what you are trying to fit in your car and what you currently have.

Ok i will have an A4 1.8T S line 2006 on 2nd september.
Have seen someone selling symphony 2 out of an A3 or S3..
Wanted to know if the one from an S3 would fit my A4..
Surely connections are similar or could be adapted,or some kind of faceplate to allow for any dimension differences..
Or am i being naive...
As for what is in the car i think its a standard concert..
Rang Audi(with Reg) and they said the audio was standard spec..

You will need the same model unit as Audi tend to make them slightly different sizes for different models upgrade loom are available if your car does not have them or someone will know what’s needed to get every thing to work.

Have a look on ebay some of the regular sellers of these parts tend to state what fits what.

The A3 Symphony ll doesn't fit an A4, A4 Symphony ll's seem to fit different years but there are specification changes so get the one closest to your year. You should find one on Ebay for abour £120. You have probably fixed this by now anyway.

I actually fitted a symphony II+ for Paulstevo by removing the concert II and converting to double DIN.

The symphony II does not support mp3 track names at all on the external interface, neither does the Symphony II+, so you will just get CD1-6 and track 1, track 2 etc on any device you attach.

However the Symphony II+ has an mp3 compatible 6 CD changer built in. So you can have 6 CD of Mp3's with track names or tags.
