OK, simply cut the gala wire "G" or "GALA" on the NAV unit and put a switch on it. No reprogramming tools available for your year.

....Craigyb - is this possible for 2005 A6? i have been told by Audi that this is not possible at all! i know there are 3rd party add-ons available, but i'd be interested to see if VAG-COM could do it

regards

Mark

No you need a special tool to reprogram the control head for tv in motion. You can buy tools that allow a one off reprogramming for around 179-199 euros.

I have the general A6/A8/Q7 tool to reprogram the car for £79 a pop.
