Need to replace the Symphony (CD no longer functions) audio system in my 2000 A6. I can get a Symphony II for the Symphony price. Is the Symphony II compatible with the wiring/cable harness on the 2000 A6?
If compatible, any gotchas on doing the install... thanks. |

In both cases you will have problems, the symphony II is can bus and the symphony is not. Your car clusters need to be can enabled to operate a symphony II. You can check you cluster for the presence of the correct wiring. Remove the cluster and check to see if it has 3 connectors, grey, green & blue, if so then it has canbus for infotainment and you can connect up your symphony II to it. But some rewiring will be required at the symphony end and at the cluster to pick up the canbus wires.
