I just got my 2005.5 Audi A4 with the audio package, has any one had any luck hooking up and integrated iPod kit to the stereo in this car???

Will I have to lose my beloved XM radio????

Anyone heard when the official Audi ipod kit will be out?? The dealership gave me a brochure it said coming mid-summer??

Thanks

Does anyone have any info on this new ipod kit? Is it for B7's only or will it be adaptable to B6 A4's.

What I have learned:

The Dension IceLink for the A4 is a direct and easy plug into the back of the SII head unit. Once plugged, you can continue to use the in-dash changer in addition to the iPod. You will however, lose your Sat radio if you have one.

Mine is installed in two days, I'll let you know how it works.

First of all congrats on your car, it is awesome!!! seriously awesome!

If i were you, i would seriously consider going ahead with the ipod but i would leave the ice link aside...... ? Why? cos it won't disply the song names on your symphony. But just to make sure, double check that info!

I would suggest what i did to my A3..... get a pair of canbas adaptors and a touchpanel lcd with dvd, mp3 capability. Most aftermarket dins have their own adaptors for the ipod and you won't need to damage the dash with an icelink holder. You can neatly conceal your ipod in the glove and have unlimited supply of mp3s with a clean, sparkling dash and a breath taking lcd!

Feel free to check my mod so you can get a better idea of what i'm talkin about.

Good luck, hope i was of some help!

Vas

Where can i check your mod, sounds interesting. I don't have an Ipod I've got a Rio Karma so the Dension thing won't work for me (will it?)
