2006 audi a6 need to change brake light bulb

How do i change the rear brake light bulb in my 2006 audi a6 . Cant figure out. Thanks for your help

hi bts you have to remove some trim in the boot and undo a screw or two to remove the light unt then you can replace the builb regs howie

Hi, I did this last week.
There is a plastic bung on either side of the inside of the boot, about 20mm in diameter. Pop it out and use a 13mm socket to reach and remove the long plastic nut. Once this is off, the tail light can be removed, taking care to pop off the 2 push-on front retainers and disconnect the wiring plug. You might have to slide the plastic trim off the inside of the light as well (between the light and the boot lid.
Be careful as the light is smooth and can be easily dropped and damaged!
Gently pry off the rear of the tail light to gain access to the bulbs.

Its pretty easy, there is a bolt that you losen, and then you can pop it right off. You will have to apply a good amount of pressure when pulling it out.

I had this same issue a few weeks ago, but after changing the bulbs the problem did not go away. I ended up taking it to the audi dealer and they said that the connector between the light and the car had some corrosion, so they cleaned it up and put it back and it worked without having to change any bulbs. The wierd thing is that it looked like only one bulb was out, but it ended up just being corrosion.
