Auto Dimmer Mirrors!

Does anyone know if the auto dimmer mirrors could be affected by an MMI update?

I picked up my A6 Avant and the mirrors both side an middle worked fine on auto dimmer, putting the green tint over them.
I recenlty updated from 1200 to 5750 using audi's original disks, apart from all the other bits the update has killed off I noticed my mirrors now dont have the green tint on them!! They green light is on the rear view mirror and I can turn it on and off but nothing happens!

I know I need to use vag-com to out back the instrument cluster and battery meter and i have been advised how to do this, I was hoping someone might know if using vag-com can turn these back on?

I have spoken to Audi main dealer and to have a look and run diagnostics they want to charge £126, but my local audi garage (not main dealer) will take a look but they have no idea where to look, so some advice would be brilliant!

Hi,

this may not help much, but I just updated my software to 5150 and my mirrors are working fine. I was actually advised against 57. Not sure if you can back down to an earlier version, but maybe that is the way forward... ?

Also noticed your previous post re the upgrade and CD2. My car came from a similar base version as yours, and CD2 took about 45 mins to install. The benefits of this were that my Nokia now talks to the car properly - exchanging phonebooks, signal strength, call history, etc... Before the upgrade all it would do was make or receive a phone call.

I am going to do the VAG-COM thing to get back the battery and instrument cluster at the weekend...

Thanks, I don’t think my car system will talk to my phone as I have the Motorola car phone installed and not a full Bluetooth kit! So that why the CD did nothing when I updated...

Wishing I had not done so now though, more trouble than it was worth- I only got the TMC working and lost more functions that I used more often than TMC

anyone else got any ideas on the mirrors?? PLEASEEEEE!

Do you have VAG-COM VCDS?

If you have, have a look at the doors. You my have to sort out basic settings or something.
