Boot spoiler for A6/S6

Anyone got any ideas as to the availability in the UK (and part no.) of the boot spoiler for a 2006 S6? I'm seriously considering getting one, local dealer not sure of the availability though. If I can slap a part number down in front of him, he might wake up.

This from Audi USA, part number might be different in the UK though:


US part no: 4F0071640 9AX

I'm pretty certain that the chin spoiler and rear skirt won't fit an S6 (especailly not the skirt, with those four pipes), but if anyone knows any different or of alternative parts then please let me know.

OK, replying to my own post, just in case someone's interested.

Apparently the "spoiler for rear lid" doesn't have any "not for:"'s listed in ETKA, but in this online brochure, it does say that it's not for S-line - Which I'm reading as not for S6 either.

...but then it makes no mention of restrictions here....

Part numbers appear accurate though. Gonna get the local dealer to check into it for me. If they order it up and it turns out that it doesn't actually fit, then it's their mistake, not mine.

Just in case anyone WAS actually interested in this:

Local dealer has had a rummage around the parts database and now has the part on order for me, should be getting paint matched and fitted shortly after it arrives (it's on backorder, might take a week or two).

The part number is actually 4F0071640 9AX after all and it's listed in the database as fitting an S6, I assume that this means it'll fit pretty much any A6 saloon.


...Also on order is an S6 specific black grille to replace the platinum grey+chrome one already on the car. If anyone out there's interested in buying the one that comes of the car then PM me and we'll sort something out (it's in perfect condition).

...oh, took the plunge and got 20% tint on the glass (70% in the front for legal reasons). Will post some pics when all the other bits are fitted. Hopefully it'll look more like the V10 beast it should have done when it rolled out of the factory. The glass has already made a big difference.

next thing on the list is to persuade the wife to let me get some 20" Caractere rims. Somehow I don't think this will happen for a looooong time, if ever.

Luckily I discovered that the boot lid spolier did NOT fit my S6 before it was sprayed. This part will not fit an S6 or S-line without some fairly majour modification to the part - the cars have a more pronounced bulge on the bootlid which gets in the way.

I've yet to decide whether to modify the part to fit - the coachbuilder said they look great when they're fitted (properly to an ordinary A6), but didn't recommend mucking about with the part as it could end up being a complete mess if it all goes wrong, and that's £200 up the swanny.

It appears that once again, the local dealer doesn't actually have a clue about the cars that they sell.


...Black S6 grille did arrive and is the correct part though, shame the black number plate bracket they ordered was the Japanese one instead of the UK one.
