Hiya, sorry for the late reply, I was off work and didn't even get an email when you updated this thread!
My car is with Audi now for a few issues for the next 3 days...I was hoping to get a loan car with xenons to have a look but they gave me a normal A6 avant so there goes that idea! I think it will be down to Kufatec really though the service person at Audi said he will TRY to have his guys look at it but no promises...Hope they can sort it for me even if they charge - it will finish off the car nicely and what I think of this dealership (they are very good!) |

Hi, mr. enrico do not reply on my e-mails.
![]() I`m on the cross road. If we can not adjust the xenons without the self leveling sensors may be we going to be in trouble. May be somebody knows what they looks like (picture please) and where they are located on the car with factory fitted xenons?! Akash did you get cable replaced mate, and if it`s Ok to do this with the tail lights please. |

pas70ra, still nothing I take it?
Well I have now given up. I took my car to Audi for a few other fixes and I got it back unrepaired with two EXTRA problems. The unrepaired was simply because the parts are on backorder but the two extra faults was : Reverse = rear fog lights turn on Rear fog lights = reverse lights turn on Temperature displays -45celcius Not at all happy because they then blamed it on me saying when I handed the car in, it was like that - really p*ssed me off because the car is under warranty so I would have ensured they look at the problems if I did have them before. And IF it was there before, why did the temperature sort itself out by the time I got back to work? That means they are lying because in their 10minute test drive of the car AFTER I handed it to them, the temp would have been back to normal. I know the rear lights worked fine too because I have photographs of the car HOURS before handing it in as someone wanted to see the LED lights and reflection pictures of it from a window/mirror. I therefore have also given up on the Xenon retrofit and might even sell the car soon - Be easier to go back to Volvo or BMW as they are a lot less hassle and I get far superior service from them - had 3 volvo's (all younger looking models - new s40s/s80/s60) and each time all the [i]minor/I] issues I had were treated very professionally! I will be selling my xenon lights on Ebay but if you want first dabs, let me know! I bought them for £400 so I would expect only that in return. Let me know by the end of tomorrow if possible but I will be listing them shortly just to get the ball rolling - I can always remove them if you do want them. The lights itself contain the housing, bulbs, motors, ballasts and all clips are intact and unbroken. I also now have the proper VagCom so we can do your LEDs when you have time (let me know so I can check if I am free that day) Shame it went this way but I went way too far into it despite the hassles of it all and while I love challenges, to do it on a 30k car just doesn't quite fit with me anymore. |

Akash any time tonight or tommorow mate. The lights are on car so I`m ready to jump. Pm me your adress and I will come.
I fit the cd changer in the glove box and connect the cables like kufatec write. Yesterday my car was in audi finchley for diagnostic and I ask them to recode the car for LED`s and cd changer. They were totally lost and finally told me that they can not do it. I start worried that this car did not accept any codding. Too complecated. So if you have time we can try to recode. About the problem with reserve. Now when I install the taillights without codding, my car make the same thing. When is on reverse the light is on for the reverse only on one taillights, the other is on the fog red. I did not try on the fogs. But how offen you drive in a fog with extra fog lights? Me personally never, so I can live with that. For the cd changer maybe I need some updates on the mmi or maybe the mmi is **** and can not accept to be retrofit with cd changer. I post question in other forum and wait for some help. |

OH!
I wonder if Audi did a software upgrade on my car and it reverted it back to standard lights! Thank you! I will check this out in a few hours and report back! Are you interested in the Xenon lights? I do have the latest MMI software CD - is that what you need? Ask CraigyB about questions like that as he knows and fits MMI installations in the Audi's |

Thanks guys
I should have said that I >am< familiar with the in's and out's of the vagcom and codes for this ... I was just curious on what was set because while mine DID work, it stopped working after coming back from Audi (ironic!) I messed around today setting it to the lowest setting I could (0000002 I think) and moved my way up in accordance to my spec + the LED I now have the proper configuration (ie : reverse = reverse lights, fogs = fog lights) BUT I only have one fog and one reverse light No idea why this is...any help? on the Xenon front, I put my original halogens back in and called it a day, no more xenons - a shame really because even the image of the car itself while they are off was fantastic with xenon projectors Now I'm back to the normal ones Still, headache over, no worrying about the adapter, no annoying bulb out sounds and no warranty issues. |
