Thanks for that! It pretty much confirms I have the right plugs

I have one last question before I do this tomorrow - apparently the sun is out tomorrow finally!

Am I supposed to cut these wires from the originals and join them to the adapter?

For instance, on "violet direction – connector C (32polige gray) pi direction 6 violet with black marking – connector C pis 16"

Do I cut the wire in the middle somewhere and join the end coming out from the PLUG C to pin 6/16? Quite risky especially if anything goes wrong! But I've gone this far!

If you can just confirm the above - basically am I cutting a wire and joining it to the adapter or does it "slot" in somewhere

The wire itself has an "end" to it so thats the main reason I ask whether it "slots in" somewhere

Have a look:

ImageShack - Hosting :: 07072008011qg5.jpg

Bad picture but look near the front, you will see the blue wire with the "plug/clip"

Guess what though, my drivers side light might be faulty after all that! It is facing down and even manual adjustment cannot seem to bring it up
Really gutted as the ebay person won't respond to me.

Still lets get this working!

Personally I do not think that you need to cut any cables. Need to be slot in somehow. They ship my adaptors and I expect to have some instruction with them. Will see soon.

OK let me know when you recieve it...do you already have your lights then? If not, you will not be able to fit them until you do in which time I might have already have removed mine!

I can't drive around with no lights for much longer especially given the bad weather... was terrible last night, driving with dim and fogs just because of the worry I will either get stopped or i'm blinding someone...or incase I needed to use the beam

Need to try and figure out how to "lift" the projector manually now on the drivers side before determining whether it is a faulty unit

Akash, I just spoke with a friend which is electrican man and show him the pictures. He said the you need to open the 32 pin connector and see in the pins where the adaptor cables need to go is there any existing cables or not?! He suspect that there will be not. Can you check this and let me know. If there is a cables there I will need to ask kufatec again do we need to joint them or what. The question is why the supplier send you the cables with prepared connectors in case there is cables?! It is more real that there is no cables on this pins connected.
Check and we will see.If there is some cables post back and I will send question to my "friend" Enrico from Kufatec.

About the my xenons I still did not order them but have them on hold for saturday to see and collect if have time. How I tell you before I do not have vag com cable and expect that you can help me out with this things when you have time. Now you have a very big experience with the same thing that I will be soon.

about adjusting things did the xenon was working right when you install the for the first time?

Look what I found on the ross-tech:
Ross-Tech: VAG-COM: Xenon Headlamp Adjustment

and check this:
AudiWorld Forums: Instructions: How to Adjust Xenon Headlight Range using a VAG-COM

and here is some graphics:
VWvortex Forums: Adjusting xenon lights?

Ok in order of your post:

Unless someone can guarantee the plug needs opening, I won't be opening it. I have already screwed around too much and the car is not even a year old! The plug looks sealed properly so to open it, I would think it would break apart rather than just open !

I agree though, the only reason I got these lights and adapter is because it prevented re-wiring and it would be possible to "easily" retrofit xenon oems. To suggest modification to the plug makes it almost as difficult as re-wiring everything manually!

Vag-com I can help you out dont worry

Thanks for the links, I have seen these before. I managed to sort out the drivers side one, fiddled around inside and with a little force, I heard a pop and that put it back to how it should be. I think in delivery, it might have moved the projector itself down more than it should. It's locked in place and feels ready to move by motor now.

Your links I don't think would work simply because we do >not< have auto-levelling lights. While the motors ARE there to auto-level, apparently it requires sensors which measures how high/low the car is. Based on that, the leveller kicks in. I could be wrong and I hope I am because I could have just stuck in a HID conversion for £100 which would still "manually" level using the wheel. With these, I cannot manually level and I cannot auto level.

Whats your invoice number from kufatec?
I e-mailed them saying you had ordered it and WE needed to know HOW these wires were connected

They in turn have asked for you to ask the question along with your invoice number... enrico drives me nuts sometimes!

My question to him was:

As you know, we have found the place of where it should connect
(ImageShack - Hosting :: 08072008017os1.jpg)

I think my last question is, how do you connect it?

Do you have to cut the wire from the plug and join it to the adapter?
Does it slot in somewhere?

As you can see, the plug is a sealed unit so I cannot see where you can slot it there... If you can maybe send me the instructions, it will make our life easier when we fit it on his car.

Think you can send it to him?

Thanks

Sorry guys I was away. Akash sorry I didn`t saw your last post. I will copy and send the question to our friend enrico from kufatec.
The cables for cd changer and adaptors for xenons arrived friday from kufatec. Looks good. The problem is that my car is back to cargiant couse there is some problem with idling and need to collect on monday(which I`m not sure that will be happen). I will open the plastic on the driver side to check this plug is it possible to open and how. My mate saw the cables and said that they are maked to fit in that plug. I will write an e-mail to enrico now to enquire about this and will ask for leveling. If they said that I cant level them from the wheel 1,2,3 by hand I will leave this project till I have the other sensors. Is there anyone who know more about this sensors - where they are located part numbers, schemes?!?

This is the instruction with adaptors (only on german):
Die Bi-Xenon Leitungen kommen in das Bordsteuergerät:

violette Leitung – Stecker C (32polige grau) Pin 6
violette Leitung mit schwarzer Kennzeichnung – Stecker C Pin 16

die Leitungen für das Tagfahrlicht:
Graue Leitung – Stecker A Pin 6
Graue Leitung mit schwarzer Kennzeichnung Stecker A Pin 1

Nach der Installation die Adresse 09 auf Xenon codieren.

The cables for connection are 4 grey wires.

The cables for cd changer have german-english instruction and at the end is written : "then you drive to the audi dealer and coding the can gateway (adress 19) to mediaplayer 2 and remove the component protection in adress 1E (mediaplayer 2)" .

Is this mean that if I can found a vag com cable I can do it by myself or I definetly need to go run to audi dealer?

Akash e-mail was send, expecting answer probably tommorow morning. If I`m lucky and get my car at monday evening I will try to check the plug tuesday evening after work. From your picture is look like easy to open with this orange clip but will see. Do you get your cable mate, I`m realy need to know if you can help me out with this or to look another alternative couse in two weeks time I going holiday and want to fit the tails and cd changer like minimum.

Dear Enrico Richter,

As you know, we have found the place of where it should connect
ImageShack - Hosting :: 08072008017os1.jpg

I think my last questions are, how do you connect it?

Do you have to cut the wire from the plug and join it to the adapter?
Does it slot in somewhere?

As you can see, the plug is a sealed unit so I cannot see where you can slot
it there...

If you can maybe send me the instructions, it will make our life easier when
we fit it on his car.

The second thing is, are this adaptors let me manually adjust the headlights
with the wheel on the driver side console like the halogen headlights, or I
definetlly need to retrofit and auto-level sensors (I know that is legal
requirement to have auto level but I think that may be you managed to
connect the adjusting wheel on the driver side dashboard for the headlights
in your adaptors harness to control the xenon motors for adjusting
manually.)

Regards,
P. ILIEV
