VAG Com purchase ????

Hi I am new to this forum having just bought a 2005 2.7TDi A6 Avant.

I have read lots of past posts with great interest, as there are a couple of things I want to change on the car i.e.:

Update the reversing sensors so i can see them on the MMI screen(hopefully)
also
Add an iPod interface.

I have one question at the moment, would it be worth purchasing a VAG COM lead and are they just the plain ones you see on fleebay, or is it a different on for the C6 model?

I look forward to lots more interesting reading.

You need one that supports can bus and the cheap ones won't do that.

I think ross-tech sell a micro can bus lead that will do what you want.

I only use genuine Ross-tech cables, so I can't comment on this one, it may work or it may not. I have never used that software to be able to comment.
