S-Line MFSW Steering Wheel Retrofit?

Is it posible to change the 4 spoke steering wheel on the A6 C6 (2005 UK) which has multifunction and tiptronic already, to the 3 spoke S-Line type?

dealer says no, due ti wiring loom, but I would have thought it be the same on both?

The airbag looks the same, so I am hoping that this can be resued.

also does anyone know the cost of these wheels? and can they be bought from anywhere other than the dealers? (looked on ebay, but nothing came up. Maybe ebay germany?)

I;m just about to do it on a 2007 A8, 4 spoke to 3 spoke, the airbag is a different shape.

I assume that I could reuse the airbag from my 4 spoke wheel on the 3 spoke wheel?

No you cannot, I have already said they are different.

The 3 spoke is shaped to fit a 3 spoke wheel and same for the 4 spoke airbag, it only fits the 4 spoke wheel.
