Unhappy Help ! another A6 bluetooth / GSM question

I'm just about to get a new A6 Avant with the GSM fitted phone option (the £400 one), which says it has a bluetooth option as well as the standard fitted cradle.

I'm getting a new phone (thinking E50 /E60 Nokia) which a cradle is available for but the list from Audi says that numbers / phone book contacts won't transfer.

I've searched forums etc and I know that there are problems with the symbian compatibility but I've also got a list of phones from audi called 'Approved mobile phones for the Audi Bluetooth™ car phone SIM access'

This says that the E50 & E60 has
'Access to SIM card phonebook'
which would be ok,

My question is ( which the sales guy seems not to know?) is does the bluetooth option with the GSM system support this SAP or is it only on the higher priced factory option.

Does that make sense to anyone? Any help / experience would be great as I'm confused!

Thanks

Only the higher priced unit supports SAP

So I suppose the bluetooth usage would be limited to answering calls vi a the steering wheel maybe voice dialing with voice tags? But not number info on the MMI or DIS, last number redial , history of calls etc.

Can you add entries to the MMI in an address book and dial via that anyway?

Yes you can manually add directory entries, or you could copy the entries to another phone that is compatible, pair that and import the numbers from the phone book to the directory.

It will import 200 entries.

Thanks craigyb most helpful, I think I'll do that, use an old Nokia 6230i to pair & download phonebook and then use my Nokia E50 with an Audi cradle so it's charging when in bluetooth use in the car.

With this option will I get all the phone call info of calls made / received / history using the E50 on the MMI & DIS?
