Default DVD Sat-Nav - "3D Position View"

Whilst my 2006 A6 was in for service yesterday, I had a brand new A6 as a loan car. I noticed that the DVD Sat-Nav was slightly different to mine, in that the menus were different, and there was also an option to have a 3-D view of the map in the main screen, wheich was excellent.

Maybe Craig can advise here - would it be possible to update my 2006 system to have this feature?

Thanks in advance.

Paul

Thank Craig.... is that something I can do for myself, you could do for me, or something I would need the Audi dealership to rip me off for!!
Cheers

check your sat nav cd as you will require 4E0 94E0 919 884 AF and if you require the mmi update and your in warranty tell them that the sat nav is sticking and they will update the mmi sytem so you should end up with tmc fuction as well, depending what sofware version you are on it may require updates 4E0 906 961 L and 4E0 906 961 T AND 4E0 906 961 AA,these MMI software cd roms will bring your most network systems to the current levels and improve the system. If you are out of warranty ask Craig if he can sort it out for you as 4E0 94E0 919 884 AF sat nav cdrom is £200.(and the sat nav disc isnt warranty)

Hi I am new to the forum and find some of the terms quite confusing.
My dealer tells me my A6 (2006) has a sat navDVD 4EO 919 884 AF.
Is the same one that you mentioned and does it mean that if i get them to upgrade the mmi software (£90) I will get the 3-d veiw mentioned?
thanks
