I'm waiting for delivery of a new A6 Avant 3.0Tds Quattro Tiptronic S-Line "Le Mans".
Does anyone have any experience of the Le Mans edition, especially how hard the ride is?

Fantastic car!

Yes the S-Line ride is hard, but only over damaged roads and you get used to it. The taut handling compensates for the ride. If I'd had more money to burn I might have gone for the adaptive air suspension but at £1500 it's a bit steep and anyway I loaded it with all sorts of other options which I prefer to have.

You won't regret your purchase.

By the way the mpg gets better as it loosens up - I'm averaging 33mpg now (mostly short trips to work) but I can easily get 37-40 on a long run and still have some driving fun.

What colour have you ordered?

37-40 sounds impressive, I'll be pleased if I can manage that on a long run.

Is that from the trip computer or have you worked it out manually? My new 2.0tdi A6 is showing around 47 on the computer but it works out as only 43 when you do the maths so it seems the computer is a bit optimistic!

Same figs both ways (+ or - 1 mpg) so generally my trip computer appears to be giving accurate readings, but I have heard others on this forum say their's is not very accurate.

my trip computers definately inaccurate.. its says my 3.2 s line (PETROL) does 35mpg...
