Parking Dislpay Activation

I have A6 3.0TDI Avant Le Mans with MMI & sat nav, I previously has a Q7 and the only thing that I miss about it is the lack of visual display from the MMi screen whilst parking. Does anyone know if it is possible to activate this, I already have the parking sensors maybe it is just a software update?

Ive seen this function describe in the A6 manual, i'd love the feature too, anyone know how to activate it, if its something to do with vagcom, ive got the software but lacking the codes to do it

Yes, code the parking controller 76 with x2xxxxx, if the car is new enough then the parking controller will code and you will get the visual display.

0?xxxxx: Optical Illustration

• 0 = without Optical Illustration in Display
• 2 = with Optical Illustration in Display

so...If I retrofit the rear parking sensors and then do some VAG-COM coding I'll get the MMI display to show the sensor read outs ?

Thanks for the advice, popped into see dealer. they accessed parking controller 76 and changed setting, now have visual parking display only took a couple of minutes.

Hi Craigb, I only have rear parking sensors, will the mmi screen still function.

Interesting discussion here, as i am very keen too to have this activated for my rear sensors only. Additional question, is it possible to add rear-view camera??

Rear view camera is possible, I have done it on my A8, but if you dont have TV, then expect it to be expensive.

You need a front control module 07 with FBAS input.

ive tried updating my parking controller, but it says my workshop code is invalid.. its currently stuck on 131071 and wont let me change!
