Default Brake Replacement Rip-off

While my A6 was n having the cylinder head replaced (see previous post) the garage told me my brakes were wearing out - they only had about 5-9,000 miles left......

If I got them changed while the cylinder head was being replaced, I could get a £150 discount to, wait for it, £698.00!

Anybody know where I can get the brakes done for decent value for money?

Have a look at the following link.
Seems more reasonable to me

eBay.co.uk: SET205 AUDI A6 FRONT BRAKE DISC AND PAD KIT (item 150139104486 end time 14-Jul-07 21:54:56 BST)

A right rip-off have a look at eurocarparts web site for the parts, in most cases they will also be original fittment parts too, and the pads discs are not difficult to change if you have a basic aptitude for mechanics and a few basic tools.

Be careful as those are not the correct brakes for your car!

That's quite obvious if you read the description (1997-2001).
But it says " Give me a call with your car's details to check fitment. We have a large stock available"

Whip your car round to these guys.
They always do my brakes & even though it's a 180 mile round trip for me, it pays.
You will get the job done properly, promptly and at a good price.
They have won Audi Independent Awards
