Anybody have any experience or knowledge of this?
Is it worth doing? Is the performance increase significant? Does it wreck the mpg? Does it make the engine rougher under normal driving for the sake of increased performance? Pros & cons please from anyone in-the-know. Thanks |

Well you already have a very good engine, but you can gain a lot. 2) Very significant! 3) No, mpg stays the same as long as you don't use the extra power. It's a fair compromise. My car still do the same mpg at same speed. 4) Rougher??! Well my wheel have some dificult staying in the ground... No. To be honest I was expecting same kind bad behaviour, but the engine keeps it's linearity. I made an upgrade to my 2.0TDI and the car became (much) 'lighter', stronger and much more usable. I can now get to 235 km/h (measured with a GPS device; the car indicates about 250Km/h) but only because the cars is already 'cutting' power from engine (red line, at about 4700 rpm) See Superchips - Rediscover the joy of the open road.
