No CD track titles on MMI?

Anybody know why the names of cd tracks don't display on the MMI?
Also why do I have to manually name the CD by editing it?
I have the MMI high on a 2007 A6 and I'm using original cds ranging from about 1990 to date. I have not yet tried any home-made cds.

If the original CD has been written with CD-text, then it displays the name of the CD and the track names on the screen (Jamiroquai for instance)

If you write a home-made CD and write it with CD-text, then it will display in the screen too, I'm sure.

However, if the CD you use has no CD-text, then you can only edit the CD title, and not the actual track names.

Strange why most of the cd maufacturers don't include text with them in the first place. It can't be that expensive to do and in this day and age would be a real improvement.
