A6 Shudders

I have an 2005 A6 2.0TDI Saloon.(manual)
From a cold start for about the first 5k the car shudders while I am engaging first gear. Once the car warms up the problem stops.
As I am easing back the clutch the car shudders and I immediately have to re clutch.

It is an intermittent problem but happening quite frequently.

I have been back to the dealer twice and they could no find any fault.

Can anybody help ?

Did the dealer do a proper fluid level check?
