Gps Antenna New Audi A6 Avant

Hallo,

For my new Audi A6 AVANT I like to install a GPS antenna for my MMI NAV.
Anybody with experience installing this antenna in a AVANT ??

Do you need to install a Shark fin GPS antenna, or can you use the normal antenna??

I have a 2006 A6 Advant that was delivered in Nov. 2005 to the United States. I did not order factory Nav but installed it later by myself. I found that the factory supplied shark fin antenna had the GPS antenna. All I did was connect a antenna cable to it that was supplied with the Audi retrofit kit I purchased from the dealer.
