2000 A6 Avant amplifier question....

Hi all,
I have an amp issue that is bugging me, whenever it gets above 70-75 degrees outside, I get a thumping sound, close as I can describe it is that it sounds like the bass drum on a techno song, but it does not go to the beat of what is playing, it is independent of that, but it does seem to go at steady intervals, anyone ever get that? Now, I have had a water leak in the area where the amp is located in the past, so maybe something is damaged I don't know, but if you guys have any ideas I am all ears.
