I found an A6 2002 with 53k miles, 3.0, silver/exterior - black/interior mint condition. I have been hearing that people have problems with audis and I wanted to check up on that and if it is worth buying the car. Any opinion is great and would like your guys input on this. Thanks.

Always try and find out about the service history! T/B W/P C/V boots also if the front suspension has had the control arms replaced. These cars like to have alot of attention - read regular service! Find a real good indie mechanic to save over dealer shop prices. Also get to know someone close to you who may have VAG COM - they can diagnose your car etc.... Tehy are one of the finest cars out there!!

My second audi was an '02 A6. Around 75k lots of problems started occuring. Timeing belt (of course) water pump, cv joints, dashboard display started to fade, most of the drink holders were already non-working by then, etc..... I had the same issues with a '98 A6. They are great to drive, but suggest only keeping it a year or two.
