Lightbulb Digitial Coimputer Display Help!`

So I just purchased a 2000 A6 with about 80k miles on it. To be honest, I'm scared sh*tless. I've always bought Fords and new a little about fixing them and changing oil etc. This A6 is amazing but I have no idea how to work on it. Anyway, my question is about the red LCD computer dispay between the tach and speedometer. When I start the car and put it into drive it says "Service Ok!" or "Ok! Service," What does that mean? I just got it a few days ago and hope that something isn't already wrong. When I press the button sticking out of the dash "looks like an odometer reset button," it goes through a series of (what I think) little tests that check engine fluids; I just can't figure out what they mean. Can anyone help explain this? My main concern is the "Service Ok" thing. I hope that just means the car is in service and Ok!

......someone give me some good news

You are correct. Service is not needed. Everything is OK.

You will be happy to know that it is completely normal. That is the cars way of telling you that everything is OK. When you push the systems check button it goes through all the sensors and tells you what needs servicing. The Audi's are a finicky car to work on if you are not used to the German designs, they are not like a ford that has big parts. the Audi's have many small complex parts in them. So if you don't have the knowledge let the local Audi shop do the work for you. Plus they always back up their work.
