I have an Audi A6 1998
According to Audi i should have a 2 button remote 8L0837231A01C and key HA0837246INB. The only key I have has a large circular button that, with the key in the unlock, open the windows but no actual remote. I cant find a 2 button remote and dont want to go to Audi. Can I use a 3 button switch blade remote? |

Got myself a 3 button fob with a blank key and took it to Audi to have it cut and coded.
The problem they are having is that they successfully set the new key and fob but they have the key warning light up but apparently it still drives. Apparently the orange key light was flashing even though they had coded the key. They had to reset the car back to just my original key to cure. Any guesses? ![]() |
