Default Bad MAF = ABS and ESP Lights

Here's some info for what it's worth. I knew that my MAF was weak and on it's way out. (the VAG codes kept coming up with a lean error) What was sort of wierd was that the ABS and ESP lights came on in the end. Just had the MAF replaced and now all codes and lights are clear.

I replaced my MAF a month ago and it went bad again??? I'm going to try and clean it with the K&N spray then dry it out and see if that will work.
