I just purchased my first Audi (2002 A6, 2.7T, 32K miles), and have noticed that when in parked, stopped, in neutral (when ever the car is not moving) it has a very noticable rough idle feeling. I took it to a dealership the other day to have them check it out, and they informed me that this is normal for the 2.7T (but I don't think it is). I am just wondering if anybody else knows about this issue.

Hi my car does the same thing. I've also taken her to the best dealership in South Africa and they also told me it's nothing to worry about, so if even they say it isn't something to worry about then maby it isn;t

Are you guys seeing your MIL light come on? All 2.7s and 2.8s I've driven have butter smooth idles.

Maybe you should try to use fuel additive like STP® Complete Fuel System Cleaner or STP® Fuel Injector Cleaner. Rough idle can be symptom of dirty fuel injectors , so you may try this fuel additives and see if will help.

Cheers

Adding the fuel injector cleaner was the next thing I was going to try, just waiting until my tank gets close to empty. I will let you all know how it turns out
