Hello everyone, I am new to this forum. I am in the market to purchase an 1998 Audi A6 2.8 with 158,000 mile on the odometer. What should I be concerned with?

And doe anyone know a good mechanic here in West Palm Beach, Florida?

Thank you for all the help you can give.

Timing belt and waterpump spring to mind. Brakes of coarse. CV boots. Look for any drips after a test drive. If possible take the car to an indi import place and have them VAG COM the computer for any errors. Good luck!

My advice is don't buy it. Honestly, I've had nothing but problems with my Audi. I really want to love my car, but after sinking so much money into it and for it to still malfunction left and right, I just have a sour taste in my mouth. I'd look at Japanese.
