2.5 Tdi Vibration

I have a high millage 2.5 tdi quattro (134k) and it has a bad vibration and is at it's most noticable at 1200 revs.
I have had the car checked out at a dealers and also a diesel specialist and every thing checks out ok. ( I did change the air flow meter as it wasnt 100%)
The fuel pump, recirculating valve, boost valve etc all good.
Timing was 5.8 degrees.
Any Ideas of what else to check?

recently put a new battery in it? try cleaning out the throttle?

no new battery

dont know how to clean out throttle.

car does have a distince surge when trying to accelerate smoothly, which is most noticable in second gear. (not a power band surge, more like pulling the choke out on a cold petrol engine)
