GIAC has a good chip for the 4.2 which is good for about 15hp. you're year A6 has the hidden exhaust tips meaning getting an exhaust would call for a new rear bumper.. probably off an 02-04 A6 4.2

Where can I get the exhaust? I've been looking all over (Borla, tap1, APR, AWE) and nothing. Maybe even just some throaty mufflers. Thanks.

I'm sort of in the same boat. Check out LL Tek Motorsports (www.lltek.com) They hava a system called the "Werk" that looks pretty nice. They do however state that you will have to modify your rear valance. Let me know if you get one.

I am in the same boat as you guys. Anyone put on a "cold air induction" on their 4.2 yet?

I also want to put on a trispoke S6, or RS6 steering wheel on my 2000 A6. What years are compatiple? Where is a good source to get this steering wheel?

Unhappy

I don't know if these people do pipe work for Audi, but they have done some fairly specialist work for my other car (V12 XJS) that was excelent.

bespoke made SS twin pipe with baffles raken out and fully compensated for uprated air boxes and Timing.

They system with airbox mods gave me 20% more midrange power ona dyno for £520 + VAT and fitting.

go to www.larinisystems.co.uk

Hope they make you grin as much as i was!

not exactly sure, but audi manufactures their cars with the best airbox for the engine... many tunners keep the stock airbox and just upgrade to a k&n filter or similar
