I own a 2000 A6 2.7T and have replaced the rotors (due to warping) three times now. I just had them replaced about 3,000 miles ago and they are warped again. I have about 56,000 mile on the car.
Did a Google and found that this may be a common problem with this model of car and that Audi is aware of the problem but does not know how to fix it.
Anyone else had this probem???

I too have seen this problem a lot on various forums and test drove a 2.7T with warped rotors before I settled on the 4.2Q verson. I'm just curious, are your front rotors 288mm or 321mm? Would you consider a nice set of Brembos or Stoptechs?

Do you ever wash your car when the brakes are still hot? Drive-through or "feed the quarter machine" in the bays/
When you hit any hot rotors with water, you run the risk of warping the rotors. It's not just an Audi problem, same thing happens on all disc brakes.

Hope that's the cause, a lot cheaper than another pair of Bembos.
