Question New question Heated Mirror Replacements

I have a 1995 A6 Quattro. Both side view mirrors are discolored and need replacing.

Is there a way to use none heated mirrors? (cost)

I noticed heated are $20 plus more each. It is not that I am cheap it is just the car is old. 95 with 175k miles and was given to my daughter free.

If not (or is) does anyone know of any good sites (good prices) for these?

Thanks Mike

Hey Mike, replace just the mirror glass (1995-1998 Audi A6 Quattro Mirror Glass - Dorman 51455 - Driver Side, Without turn signal, OE replacement, Non-heated). Non-heated would go just fine. I would still get heated inserts though.

Default New question Heated Mirror Replacements

Thanks. I actually just sold the car. For inspection I used mirror like temp kit I bought from Autozone. It is like mirrored tin that you just cut and stick.

I really loved the car but bought a newer one for my daughter as she is headed to college next fall.

The Audi had a lot of little issues the biggest was that their was a short somewhere in the wiring for the door locks and they would not lock manually or by the switch or fob. I couldn't let her drive that away from home for safety issues.

Cool, I suspect you made the right call. These cars are fun, awesome to drive with quattro, but electrics as you mentioned is frustrating (and not only doors, but A/C flaps, etc.)
