Default 1995 audi quattro obd location

I was wondering if anyone Knows how to get a code from a obd1. My check engine light comes on 20 or 30 minutes after highway driving. if drive on local roads the light does not come on. i have taken it to a shop but they can not plug into the obd1. they say you need a special tool from audi to read the code. anyone know a good shop in western mass that can read the code?
Thanks

In front of the engine wall fuse / relay box which is under the wind screen. you will see 1 white and 1 black colour connector, this is OBD1 power supply and signal connector. I think u may need a cable - DUAL K line.

You need to get the adapter cables from the company which made your OBDI scanner. An OBDII scanner can not be used, unless it is also an OBDI scanner. If you are using VAG-COM, then you can get the adapter from ross-tech.com.
