Default Problem with '96 S6 C4 2.2T

Hy, I am new in this site. I am from Latvia (it's in Europe (Baltic states)).

I am having a problem with my car. When I press brake pedal, engines rpm's drop down and if I hold brake pedal for a bit longer, engine turns off. What could cause such problem and how could I fix it?

Thanks a lot!

Sounds like it MAY be a Vacuum problem. Check all of your vacuum lines for leaks or missing lines. Some soapy water may help identify things by temporarily stopping the leak. A LONG TIME AGO, had a Datsun 810 with a similar problem. I had some vacuum leaks.

Best,

km
