Default 1998 A6 Electrical Re-set

Hi everybody. this is my first post. I renewed my battery recently and experienced difficulty with the mounting shackles. The job took longer than necessary and when the electrical power was restored I discovered that the climate control temperature panels flash for about five minutes before stabilising. Does anybody know how to re-set this control without returning the car to the agents? Thanks in advance, Ron Sweeney.

You need VAG-Com freeware and a lead.

Then it's easy

Hi Lonky, thanks for your response, I thought it might need some computer intervention. It is at this point that I get brain fade but thanks anyway, Ron

Default A6 1.9 tdi auto noisy a/c condenser fan

Hi all. Does anyone have a solution for the noisy condenser fan motor. It sounds like the bearings but there is no play evident. The noise is a loud moaning sound. It would appear that the fan assembly can only be removed with the dismantling of a lot of components. The car has only done 50,000 mile. Ron.

Default A6 condenser fan

Hi Hellbent, I'm aware that it is the bearings I just want to know if there is an easy way to remove the fan without dismantling the whole front of the car. Did you fix it your self?
Thanks for your reply
