Question PCV valve location.. 97 A6 Quattro 2.8

I've been told that the PCV valve may be culprit of excessive oil consumption that I have been experiencing. A quart low every 600 to 1000 miles. There are no visible oil leaks.

I pulled the top cover off the engine to see if I could locate the PCV but could not find such. Also, I looked at several online parts suppliers and none showed a PCV valve for my 1997 A6 QUATTRO 2.8

I noticed PCV valves available for other Audi cars, but none offered for my Audi. So I wonder if the 2.8 uses one and think it must!

Does anyone here know where this device is located on my 2.8, or where I could find a new PCV?
