Default Starting problems

I have a 96 A6 with 200k on her. Recently it has developed a problem with warm starts. It seems as though it is a fuel delivery problem. Once it starts though it runs great. Is there a series of pumps or just the one in the tank? It also has a "tick". More prominent when it is cold but always there. It sounds like it is on the drivers side of the motor. I am thinking that it could be a bad injector but I am unsure and don't want to start replacing the wrong parts. Any input would be welcome.

Thanks

My car does the same thing, I thought it was the starter going out. I'd like to know what it is also.
