So my A6 died today....

Yeah... sad day. My 1997 A6 2.8 quattro died today. I have no idea what the problem is. The starter can't seem to turn the motor.

On a different note, my sunroof gutter got clogged so the passenger side of my car is soaked..
Any one know of any good garages in the Worcester/Boston area?

Oh brother...Will the car take a jump? are you blowing a lot of white smoke?

Nope... its not doing anything. Not taking a jump (tried changing the battery..)... It seems like the starter can't get the engine turning. Occasionally it does start to make this horrible really load noise... but thats it.

On a different note, the sunroof gutter got clogged so the passernger side of my car is soaked. And the sunroof opend byitself and won't close at all.

Check your oil and look for water / coolant. You may have blown a head gasket and your motor is hydro locked.

So I took it to a few shops... turns out that it needs a whole new engine, but I can't afford to fix it. So I started a site to help me out.

Just yesterday I think this problem happened to me... Just wondering if you know how much it is to fix? (Approx)

No idea, but it won't be cheap. Consider a rebuilt unit if your Audi Tech wants over $3K.

ummm you have changed the starter motor havent you? If you want to check and make sure thats it, get it on a hill and roll start it to see if itll run.
