Hi Audi family;
I hope I can learn from all of you and give back some mechanical info as I attempt to restore this luxury machine a 1991 Audi 100 130,000 miles w/all options. Including humorous wipers that come to rest vertically across windshield. Uncommon? let me know what you've found in correcting this minor problem. Thanks. |

Howdy! I just picked up a 1991 Audi 100 too, real good shape, but the electronics are "quirky". I had a 1986 Scirocco with the crazy wiper "Dead At 12 0'clock" problem, turned out to be the wiper motor, at full throw it just stopped DEAD. I replaced it and all was well, until the spline stripped on the driver's side wiper which caused it to slip and slide all over the place. These cars are great machines, but electronic wise, they can drive you crazy! I'm battling a non-working door lock problem today, they worked fine, I fixed the door switch and now they don't function at all, the anti-theft alarm also goes off at crazy times. So we'll have fun together running around the Audi forum! |
