A6 2.6 V6 1995

I would like to check the valve timing but am unable to find any information stating what it should be. Can anyone help please? I would expect it to be something like cylinder 1 inlet 8 degrees before tdc and cylinder 4 inlet 8 degrees before tdc. I also expect there is a tool required to fit to the cams whilst making any adjustments. Do you know the tool number and where I might obtain one please?

Hi - I know you posted this a while ago, but can you give me any info about changing the cambelt on the V6. Is the tool a must, do the cams move when removing the belt or can you get away with it. Is it much of a job?

You must use tools 3242 and 3243 to block the engine.
