Exclamation Spam adverts popping up on our vehicle specs

Is the advertising that is highlighted in green and creating pop up ads(content links) on any vehicle data in the threads being provided by the forum or some outside agency that is hacking in somehow and advertising all over the forum? There is http://nitra.audidealer.com/hoehn/en_US/ / http://www.mycar.com/price_quote_1/d...model_id=1094/ http://www.gaywheels.com/ so far that have attached themselves that i have come across today.

Regarding the content link.
The company will be modifying the links so that they have some relevance to the board.
These ads where put up in order to try and bring in revenue to support the site. As every forum admin knows running a forum is not free and as the user base grows it only costs more money and then you get to the point where you can no longer add users because of the budget. This sort of advertising is mandatory on any forum in order to maintain and enhance it. We have invested in upgrading the servers, hosts, and are currently working on upgrades to the site; some you have seen and some are still in the works. All of this costs money and with advertisers in the mix it helps keep this site free for the users.

I’ve seen this on other of the boards that I frequent and will admit at first it was really annoying but after a while I got used to seeing the green links and at times I even highlighted them to see what it said.
