Default Possibility of upgrades on an 08 lease

Hi,

I just leased an 08 A4 2.0T SLine for 3 yrs

and

I have a few questions, any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am looking to do some power upgrades if possible, and this is my main issue as this is my first "car" i have mainly driven hand-down trucks and suv's in the past... (finally getting an aceptable vehicle so i am unfamiliar with all the details as to what i can really do to it.

The main options i have really looked at are the tuning chips and programs and i need input on how this will likely affect the lease as well as possible changes to insurance if that happens at all... i really dont know tbh

I wouldnt mind spending between $1000 and $1500 roughly and i figure i can get a big increase in output for that value, of course that is if thats even an option

another concern of course is the the car and the warranty, and how suseptable the car would be to damage as a result of the increased power upgrades

I live in GA, USA. I love driving around the mountains and i love to test the handling especially... the s-line came with the sport suspension... dont know if there really is a differnce from standard but the feel of the car was one of the reasons i wanted an audi in the first place and i must say i love the car

Finally i get massive amounts of brake dust on the rims, after washing them they start to turn grey almost with in a day or two, ive tried some brakedust solutions that are supposed to keep the stuff off but honnestly it didnt seem to help much, any tricks?

Again any answers are greatly appreciated... thanks for helping.

first off dude you bought an audi... upgrades are expensive. on the low end if you get a chip and intake, your cash is gone. then there's the issue of actually upgrading a rental. unless you plan on keeping it or hawking the parts afterwords, theyres no real point. i dont know what the rules are in georga, but bc your car is turbo, you want to start with the back and work forward. its exhaust drivin so after the exhaust has done its job, get rid of it as fast as possible. test pipe if possible, or high flow cat and exhaust if not. in the best conditions, dumping the exhaust just after the turbo is ideal, but emmissions are dumb. the best bang for your buck is a chip. youll feel an amazing diffrence, but that soon ends when your stock recerk valve blows up and your running on 90hp and in vaccum. i think apr sells a forged one on their site. otherwise intake is nice but not really a big issue unless you go to a front mount intercooler where you can then take advantage of a cold air intake. also a super cheap and amazing mod is exhaust wrapping everything in your engine bay and on down to the first hanger in your exhaust. youll notice a diffrence with your spool time. as for warrenty, as long as they cant prove that one of your modifications caused whatever the problem is, your still fully covered. you putting on an intake and then your turbo blowing up are unrelated. you installing an exhaust and one of the o2 sensors being damaged in the process is your bad. 300hp at the wheels is easy with intake, exhaust and a remaped ecu so have at it dude.
