I saw that, however, my grill is different than the one pictured...and for some damn reason, the screws that are it the photo are just like mine with the exception that they are backwards!!!!!!!...So I must get at them from the inside of the bumper. I'd post pics, but I forgot my camera today.

That IS a real worry. You would have thought that it should be easy to access a bulb!!! I'm sure you've already tried this, but don't you think that the 'glass' can simply be pulled outwards without having to remove the screws?

Where is AudiTech.. I'm hoping he would have done this before...

Well that is nothing like the UK spec cars! Looks like you guys across the pond got a bad deal on bulb changes. All the UK ones come out forwards. Or your ones have been fitted inside out? Has this car Ever been to a body shop? The green clips should be pointing the other way so the lamp can be screwed onto them from the outside.

Well I took a trip down to my Audi service dept. just to confirm...on the US, B7 body style, that is exactly how they should be. MEH!!! So I do have to remove the bumper...I guess I know what I am doing this weekend

nah...it's a sealed unit, so the whole thing needs replacing...oh well, at least I will have learned how to get in there for future reference.

Are you sure on a B7 A4 ???
This is the case on a B6 A4, I didn't think it was possible to pull the B7 exterior trim off...

Yep...I was able to remove the trim, however it was basically pointless since the screws are only reached from the inside.
