Anyone know why my 2 litre tdi multi does not change gear properly for about the first ten miles .It seems to hold 3rd and 4th far too long over revving even at 60 on motorway drops down and up in 6 and 7 .Had back to the dealers but of course they cant find any fault with it

(i) Prob holding a higher gear while the engine warms up; or (ii) I'm not sure if it's got 'fuzzy' logic, in which case it takes time to 'learn' your driving style and will adapt accordingly.
In any case, you may wish to keep it in 'D' for the first 10 miles before shifting to 'S'? 10 miles IS a long time to warm up, unless you get straight on the motorway - in which case, shouldn't you be in 'D' anyway for a smoother and more economical ride?
I'm not ruling out an electronic/ mechanical problem - the above is just my 2 pence worth.
