I have a 2.0T FSI in the UK that has multitronic....................potentially a nice idea but very noisy at low speeds when the engine is turning over at about 1300 rpm (almost all the time in traffic and cross country). It does have a tiptronic mode which works well and as I decide when to change gear I always keep the revs above 2000 and all is quiet except when accelerating hard. However the tiptronic mode is not automatic (except at full revs or v low revs). Is it possible to get the software changed in the UK to give me a tiptronic automatic and not a multitronic automatic.....hope this is clear
I have only just had this idea to quieten my car and have not yet spoken to Audi |

No this is not possible due to the fact that the CVT tranny is noting like a regular
automatic Now for your noise and your other noise post This 2.0T engine is way different then other engines on the market the FSI injection almost identical to a diesel injection system The only difference being that it has lower injection pressures then a diesel if i remember correctly its somewhere up to 100 bar!! So when you accelerate the fuel pressure skyrockets and in turn creating more noise This leads me to beleive that you have no problem with your car and thats why nobody can find a problem |
