I just bought a new 2005, waiting for it to arrive at my dealer. My sales rep said that A4's 5,000-mile service (oil and filter change) was performed free as part of Audi's 4-year/50,000-mile no-charge scheduled maintenance. I can't find any indication that this is true for the Cabrio. Any suggestions (its bugging me I dont have this in writing anywhere).

Thanks.

Audi does do a free 5,000 mile service. You can have your dealer check the records to make sure it was done. Tell them to please look at the DCS report on the vehicle. The car also comes with a maintence book and if the dealer has done a service it should be marked off. Also if the car is a 1.8T make sure to use synthetic oil only
