Default Ignition coils and spark plugs

Have 2006 Audi A4 1.8t cabriolet and want to replace coils and plugs. I would prefer to purchase at local parts store rather than order on line. Can someone provide the part number information etc. I would need for coils and plugs.

The Audi 1.8L turbo-engine is a highly over-engineered German product; why would you think it employs generic ignition components?

The Audi OEM spark-plugs are Audi part-number 101000063AAKT, which are manufactured to Audi's specifications by NGK. The Audi OEM coil-packs are Audi part-number 06C905115M, which are likely manufactured to Audi specifications by Hitachi.

Good luck!

First thank you for the reply and information. After checking around I will purchase from local dealer or ECS. Price is about the same. As far as the advanced engineering of Audi I not sure I agree. Given the issues of TCM, gear box etc as well as the cost of maintenance Audi is apparently meant to be purchased but never driven.

Have you checked with the dealer for a recall on the coils?
I managed to get my 8 year old B6 S4 coils replaced for free under an Audi Recall

Have not checked with the dealershp, I just assume since I did not purchase the car from an Audi dealer that was not an option. I will give them a call next week.

I bought my car used from a private seller, and I had no problem. Just have your chassis number ready as they will need that to check. You could save a few pennies!

Yep same as the VIN, you should find a plate behind the windscreen on the lower part of the dash or on you vehicle reg document
