Drivers side window switch replacement

I have an 04 A4 and the drivers window has stopped working. I took it in to our local Audi dealer and they said just the switch needs to be replaced and not the motor or regulator. Does anyone have and threads or instructions for me on how to replace this? I am a do it yourselfer and would appreciate all the help! Thanks

ECS has the replacement window switches (Audi B6 A4 Quattro V6 30v > Interior > Window > ES#463530 Power Window Switch - Left (Driver) Side - 8Z0959851G5PR). I don't know if they include instructions; give them a call (it's toll-free) and see what information they can provide with the parts. If you don't have the service manual for your car yet, they have that as well (Audi B6 A4 Quattro V6 30v > Maintenance > Manuals > ES#6277 Bentley Service Manual On CD - AB66).

Good luck!

what was your situation?
my windows are not working properly...

i can roll the three passenger windows down from the driver, but i can't roll the driver down at all.

the switches on the doors do not work for there respective windows.

putting the key in the door, i can open and close all windows + sun roof except for the drivers window.

sounds like more than a switch problem to me.

btw i took the motor out of the drivers window and supplied power directly to the motor terminals and it ran fine.

My situation is that the passenger rear wont go down at all from the drivers master switch or the individual switch on the door. the drivers and front passenger window works when it wants to. I purchsed a new drivers side master switch and hope it fixes this. I will post when I put it in and share my results
