Default CEL: Random Misfire (Not coil packs)

Hello everyone first post. I am a proud owner of a 2002 Black A4 3.0 V6. About two months ago I got a random misfire code on 2 cylinders.

My tech advised me to replace all 6 coil packs in which I did because I trust his word and me and my family have been doing business with him for years. Ever since the coil pack replacements the car has been driving great.

Anyways yesterday on a cold start the car started up badly and it gave me similar if not the exact same symptoms as before. The car idles rough for a but then after a minute it is good to drive.

I'm desperately trying to figure this out. All the research I have done on the internet has said that the coil packs were the problem. I've also read that a Camshaft Sensor could be the problem as well.

there are several things that are commonly listed, and I think sometimes people are quick to jump to coil packs. Are there any other symptoms you are having; such as missing fluids, other hiccups?
Also you may just want to clear the codes and see if the hiccup happens again, it may just have been a one time problem again. Any more info would be helpful.

I had a blown head gasket with the only symptoms being disppearing coolant and a random misfire code.

Yeah no other problems besides the misfire. I have cleared the codes twice and they came back the next morning. Thanks for your help.
